General questions

Do you offer exclusive use?

We do. It is very important to us that your special day is private to you. We only host one wedding per day at Baddow Park House.

Do you have recommended suppliers?

We do have a list of recommended suppliers that we work with at Baddow Park House. We have worked tirelessly to source the best, award winning suppliers. We do not accept payment from our suppliers to be placed on our list as we believe we should only recommend those that we would use ourselves.

Are you licensed for civil ceremonies?

Yes, we have numerous options as to where you can have your ceremony!

Who will be my point of contact in the run up to the wedding?

You will be given a dedicated Personal Wedding Manager who will look after you in the run up to your day as well as on your special day.

Is there enough parking at Baddow Park House?

There is ample parking at Baddow Park House. Our car park is attended so that your guests are in safe hands.

Do you have disabled access?

We do – please speak to your Personal Wedding Manager for more information.

How much is your initial deposit?

Our initial deposit is 10% of the anticipated cost of your wedding day with us.

When are my final numbers due?

We take final numbers from you 4 weeks before the wedding and any outstanding balance is due at this point.

Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes we do. Details are available on request.

Do you charge a damage deposit?

Yes, we charge £1000 which is added to your final balance (due 4 weeks before your wedding date). This will be refunded within 14 days of your wedding date, deductions will be made if applicable.

Do you have air conditioning?

Yes we do and this includes the guest bedrooms.

Do you offer extended weddings?

At Baddow Park House we pride ourselves on hosting bespoke weddings. If you would like supper with your guests the night before your wedding and a lazy brunch on the morning after, speak to us to see how this is possible.

Do you permit marquee weddings?

If you would like to invite more than 150 guests, then you can do this by hosting your wedding in a marquee provided by one of our approved suppliers at an additional cost to our venue hire. Please bear in mind that you may need to pay additional venue hire fees due to the length of time it takes to construct/deconstruct a marquee depending on your requirements.

On Arrival

What time can I arrive at the venue?

You can arrive at the venue from 11am. Please speak to your Personal Wedding Manager as it might be possible for you to get to us earlier.

Can I have refreshments whilst we get ready?

Absolutely! Speak to our resident caterers Abigails and Co with regards to their fantastic light breakfast and brunch options.

When can my suppliers turn up?

Your suppliers can get to Baddow Park House from 11am. Should they need to arrive earlier, please speak to your Personal Wedding Manager?

Who will look after me on my wedding day?

Here at Baddow Park House, we have an experienced team to see you right through your special day. Your very own dedicated Personal Wedding Manager will be your main point of contact.

Are there any décor restrictions?

Whilst we don’t have any specific restrictions, we kindly ask that any décor that requires fixing, is done so using temporary methods that leave no lasting damage.

Can a celebrant officiate attend my wedding?

Of course! Please ask us if you would like any recommendations.

Drinks reception

Do I have options as to what drinks are served during my drinks reception?

Yes. Please speak to our resident caterer ‘Abigails and Co’ for more information.

Where can my drinks reception be held?

At Baddow Park House, your day is truly bespoke to your requirements. We have lots of indoor/outdoor options, from our beautiful Oak Room and Grand Hall Way right through to the front of the House overlooking the parklands or on the terrace in the ornamental gardens. You have many options that will suit every style!

Can the bar be open at this point?

After your initial welcome drinks have been served you can opt to open the Bar. We have one situated in our Orangery and another Log Shed Bar situated on the terrace.

Wedding breakfast

Where is my wedding breakfast held?

Your wedding breakfast will be served in our stunning Orangery. After your wedding breakfast, our team will discretely clear the room ready for your evening’s celebration. Home to our inside bar, the Orangery is the perfect location to keep your friends and family together.

What is the maximum amount of guests I can invite to my Wedding Breakfast?

We can seat a maximum of 120 guests on round tables in our Orangery or 150 banquet style.

Do you have your own caterer?

We exclusively use Abigails and Co Catering at Baddow Park House. They offer a professional and complete catering service, bringing you not only the best of British and seasonal produce, but also an in-depth knowledge of wines and cocktails to truly complement your dining experience.

Are crockery/linen included?

Yes they are. And it isn’t just ordinary cutlery and crockery! Setting the highest of standards has been top of our agenda since starting out at Baddow Park House.

Do you have a choice with regards to the menu?

Absolutely! Abigails and Co can provide sample menus but if there is something that you specifically want to serve, speak to them to find out how they can arrange this. Whether you have always dreamed of a ‘boho’ wedding with a festival styled food offering from our Log Shed Bar or a stunning conventional wedding breakfast in our stunning Orangery, here at Baddow Park House you don’t need to feel bound by traditional wedding venue conformities.

Do I get to taste the food before my wedding day?

We believe that the first time that you try your food shouldn’t be on your wedding day! Speak to Abigails and Co to book in your food tasting.

Evening reception

How many evening guests can I invite?

We can host up to 250 guests in the evening (including your day guests)

Do I have options for the evening food?

From grazing board buffets, to BBQs and stone baked pizzas served from our Log Shed Bar – choice is at the heart of our food offering.

Do I hire my own DJ?

Yes. Here at Baddow Park House we believe you shouldn’t have to have our DJ because he comes with the venue hire! Feel free to choose a DJ that suits your own tastes and requirements.

Do you allow bands?

Yes – please speak to your Personal Wedding Manager for more information.

What is your firepit?

Here at Baddow Park House we have a bespoke firepit for you and your guests to enjoy. As an upgrade, why not serve marshmallows, the finest hot chocolates and liquers.

What time does the evening reception end?

The evening reception ends at midnight.

How will my guests get home?

As we are set in a rural location, please advise your guests to book their taxis in advance.

Accommodation

Do you have accommodation for my guests?

Yes, for 2021 we will have 10 luxury bedrooms including the Bridal Suite.

How many guests can stay at Baddow Park House?

Depending on the configuration of your guests, you can sleep up to 30 at Baddow Park House. Please speak to your Personal Wedding Manager for more information.

Do you have any family rooms?

Situated on the top floor, we have a family room consisting of a double bed, twin beds and a luxury double sofa bed.

What time is check-out?

Check out is at 10am

Is breakfast included?

Yes, enjoy breakfast the following morning with your close family and friends, served in our Oak Room.
