Find out why this rural wedding venue in Essex is looking forward to the future after lockdown.
It was just a year ago that Baddow Park House, a large country property, set in rural Essex underwent extensive renovations in preparation for hosting magnificent, bespoke private weddings. The wedding season was due to commence in Spring 2020, followed by an extremely busy Summer and Autumn, until of course, the Coronavirus hit.
Couples had to postpone their spring or summer wedding and those just engaged were frustrated that they were unable to move forward with their wedding plans, it was an upsetting and emotional time for many.
So how have the team at Baddow Park House been responding to these changing times as they ease out of ‘wedding venue lockdown’, not only to secure their future as one of the most sought after private wedding venues in Essex but also to care for their couples up until the day that marriage dreams can finally become a reality?
The answers lie in a multi-faceted approach:
To communicate throughout lockdown
Getting married is a momentous, life-changing occasion that carries many hopes and expectations, so with wedding preparations now in limbo it has become more important than ever to reassure couples and to keep them up to date with any changes that may affect their wedding. Therefore, constant and regular communication with the couples due to be wed at Baddow Park House has become crucial.
Whilst many couples have rescheduled their wedding dates to 2021, some have chosen to opt for a more intimate occasion this year. This means that the lavish celebrations that were planned have now been scaled down to enable their ceremony to take place. However, with much uncertainty at present regarding restrictions, regular contact throughout the wedding planning process has become an absolute necessity.
To protect and stay safe
With the hope of intimate weddings beginning to take place, comes the responsibility of keeping guests and staff safe at all times. Baddow Park House has responded to this by investing in an innovative new product which ‘fogs’ the venue. The fogger uses pressure to create a fine mist that can reach into corners and difficult areas, penetrating porous surfaces and forming a protective barrier against Covid-19 for up to 30 days. Baddow Park House is confident that by not increasing booking numbers for next year, they will be perfectly able to deliver weddings of the highest quality whilst having time to deep clean the venue between events.
To reach out
Throughout wedding venue lockdown, the Baddow team has spent more time than ever connecting with their online audience through regular Facebook updates and Instagram posts and of course, uploading articles on their very popular Wedding News page. Whilst they have been unable to conduct private viewings, this has been an alternative way to showcase the house, giving couples a feel of how they can host their perfect day.
To embrace change.
Always looking for unique ways to improve the wedding experience that their couples receive, Baddow Park House realises that to move forward, embracing any future changes will be key to their continued success. With this in mind, they have adapted their style, spaces and catering so they are now able to indulge those coupes who would like to recreate an overseas wedding with the convenience of staying in the UK.
Get back to business and say farewell to wedding venue lockdown!
In summary, although this has been an extremely frustrating time for many, Baddow Park House is now fully focused on getting back to business. And, with their experienced and dedicated team led by Group Operations Manager, Kelly Sinnott at its helm, the owners James and Samantha Martin are confident that their luxury country house will soon be back to hosting beautiful celebrations and treating guests to an unforgettable wedding experience.
